Which filament is best in humidity?
There is no single best filament for every humid environment. PETG, TPU and TPE can be sensible candidates for functional or flexible parts, while PLA remains useful for many visual models. Keep every grade sealed with desiccant and validate a representative print after storage.
Control storage before changing materials.
Record the time outside the dry container, ambient conditions and any drying step. Use the current grade documentation for conditioning limits; do not transfer a temperature or drying claim from another supplier.
Run a repeatable humidity trial.
- Print the same geometry before and after storage.
- Record stringing, surface finish and layer bonding.
- Keep the successful profile with the grade and batch.
- Ask for a current technical sheet when the application is critical.
