PETG is commonly considered for parts that need toughness and everyday handling. A finished application decision still depends on grade, geometry and conditions.

Start with the working conditions.

Describe load, fit, temperature, moisture and exposure before choosing a PETG grade. Storage boxes and housings are useful trial categories; critical parts need application-specific validation.

Review bed and nozzle settings together.

PETG can adhere strongly to some build surfaces. Follow the printer and build-surface maker guidance, then record the exact profile used for the sample.

Scale only after a representative print.

  • Include holes, joins and visible surfaces in the test geometry.
  • Check deformation and dimensional fit.
  • Keep the approved sample as the reference for a later order.
