01 / THE ARTIST

Body, materials and memory.

Han Zang works across experimental textiles, spatial installations, photography and moving image, exploring memory and perception through the body, materials and space. Drawing on her experience in urban architecture in China, she uses thread, fabric and found objects to translate urban change into personal landscapes that move between reality, memory and dreams.

Combining hand construction, material experimentation and flexible 3D printing, she expands the possibilities of textiles and connects material experience with technological imagination. She participated in Animate Materials, a joint residency involving the Royal College of Art and the University of Manchester, exploring nature-inspired dynamic colour adaptation and structural colour across material science and artistic practice. Her work has been exhibited in London.

DIGYTOX

Mysticism and technology, meeting on the body.

DIGYTOX is a wearable-installation brand and experimental studio bringing together mysticism and technology. Its collaborations include artists in China, internationally and in Hollywood.

Using totemic symbols and imagery of energy, the brand approaches jewellery and wearable installations as spiritual tools that connect the body, perception and self-expression.

Drawing on alchemy as a metaphor for transformation, DIGYTOX gives tangible form to emotions, memories and potential, exploring connections between inner experience and the material world.

BetweenTextures

Flexible 3D-printed corset / wearable installation

Flexible 3D printing connects architectural textures with the language of textiles, turning urban memory into a personal landscape worn close to the body. Layered scales and open mesh bend with movement, exploring relationships between fabric, installation and the body.

Creative notes

Between Textures grows out of the artist’s ongoing exploration of urban space, bodily memory and material perception. A grid reminiscent of architectural surfaces and layers of scales become a flexible corset, bringing urban order, fragments of memory and the curves of the body together within one textile structure.

Through flexible 3D printing, lines and contours from the digital model become structures that can be touched, bent and worn. Open mesh connects raised scales, creating textures that change with light and movement. The corset becomes a wearable personal landscape, carrying overlapping experiences of reality, memory and dreams.

Created for wearing, fashion styling, performance and installation display, the piece explores flexible printing materials in experimental textiles and wearable art.
